May 9: Verse of the Day

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8

This verse shows exactly why we have been saved and how we have been saved. It is God who saved us not our good works. We need to trust that God has got our backs, but we can't just expect to go to heaven because we were a good person. It is a gift that we have been saved.
