June 4: Weekly Verse

John 16:33 , " I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

I do love this verse because of the way that Jesus announces that we will have trouble in this world. I often feel like I am the only one who has ever dealt with what I am going through, but that simply isn't true in most cases. First of all, Jesus knows what we are going through more than ever and He has a perfect plan on how to fix it. The next best person to go to is not really one singular person, but community! We need to get out of our comfort zone a little bit and share with people what we are going through. Sharing your story might help you to find more people just like you, who are going through the same trials as you are!

I also love that this verse just shouts out the truth that Jesus conquered the world! Isn't it amazing and exciting that as long as we follow Jesus and accept him as our Lord and Savior that we will never suffer again after he comes back! If you think about it, nothing in the is world is permanent except for Jesus! But even he wasn't on this earth forever, he will be coming back hopefully soon! We should be encouraged because nothing on this earth is permanent except for our relationship with Jesus!! Have an awesome week and God bless!
