April 11: Verse of the Day

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-6

I think this verse is important to know because it talks about God's generosity, but also what doubt looks like. It says that God gives to all men generously and without reproaching. It also says that it must be asked with faith that it will happen instead of doubting that it will get answered. It says that doubt is like a wave in the sea that gets pushed around by by the wind.

It is like saying if you ask you will receive but only if you believe you are going to receive it. You can't just ask God, but then be internally saying that it isn't going to be answered.
