April 10: Verse of the Day!!

Colossians 4:5-6, " Conduct yourselves wisely towards outsiders, making the most of time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one."

This verse has a lot into it theologically. it is showing how you should act to outsiders, but also to insiders. You have to do it wisely, so not blabbering on or accidentally raisin your voice. Your speech should always be gracious, so don't yell at people, and if you do, let it be out of graciousness in your heart. Seasoned with salt I think shows reference to us being the Salt of the Earth. We aren't supposed to please like sugar does, but season like salt does. I think this verse is really awesome when trying to learn how to conduct yourselves to strangers. have an amazing Thursday and God bless!!!!!
